A modern-day Renaissance Man if you will, Hodge not only oversees a new construction team at Jarrett Bay by day, but by night publishes fantastical children’s books and also constructs boats for religious missions in his free time. Recently, RV’s role at Jarrett Bay has expanded to serve as the social media host for the company’s popular “Jarrett Bay Insider” video series. Topics include explaining the nuances of underwater exhausts and pump rooms, to showing off the beautiful finish work of Jarrett Bay’s latest launch or service project. While also walking down Jarrett Bay’s historical lane, Hodge regales the company’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube followers on a monthly basis with interesting factoids and valuable insight. The response has been resolute—the fans want more—longer episodes on a wider variety of projects. While surrendering to social media may feel like an exercise in vanity to this band of otherwise introverted shipwrights, the public demand validates their amazing level of craftsmanship, thoughtfulness and expertise. Undoubtedly, a tremendous level of experience and know-how goes into every new construction and service project at Jarrett Bay—far more than we might be able to sufficiently convey.
