a Grand Banks Rendezvous and knew that when they were ready for their next boat, Mark would be their guy—helping them with his professional demeanor and wealth of knowledge. Before taking delivery of Provenance , the vessel was finished out and commissionedat theBluewaterYachtYard in Hampton, Virginia. The owners praised the fine work and communication throughout the process, citing that Bluewater partner Earle Hall “was a pleasure to deal with.” IN THE FIELD After officially taking delivery of Provenance , they immediately spent time cruising to Gloucester and Cape Charles and confirmed that their new yacht was perfectly suited for their excursions on the Chesapeake. When it comes to extended weekends aboard, the owners are now wrapped in modern comforts and an abundance of space. With the favored galley-up layout, sufficient room is freed up below for two staterooms, each with a queen berth and private en suite head. The spacious accommodations extend from the cabin to the cockpit with twin corner pulpit settees providing space for several guests to stretch out and soak up the sun or shade. Perhaps the greatest testament to the Back Cove 41’s allure is all the attention she has garnered from her owners’ peers. In the short time since taking delivery, they have been approached several times on the docks by other boaterswho admired the BackCove and expressed sentiments about it being considered as their next boat. Its reception so far has made it readily clear that Back Cove’s experienced team of designers and craftsmen have built the complete package here, and everyone around the Chesapeake is eager to seemore of these fine boats plying our waterways. True to her namesake, Provenance stakes the origin of the Back Cove 41 line and should undeniably be considered a classic and authentic work of art. A PLEASURE DOING BUSINESS WITH TRUE PROFESSIONALS Dear Jan, I purchased a 2003 Grand Banks Eastbay 43 FB through your firm’s Hampton office. I would like to bring to your attention, and commend the performance, of two of your employees who were instrumental in the smooth execution of this transaction. Melissa Sheppard performed superbly as Sales Assistant, keeping all of the administrative details well coordinated between all parties and ensuring that the supporting documents flowed in a timely manner. She was extremely pleasant to work with, communicated with me frequently, was flexible when modifications were necessary, and masterful at keeping the transaction on track. In short – extremely professional and cordial to work with. She earns high marks; I wish she worked for me to keep my office straight! Mark Connors – I can’t say enough good about him. I feel very fortunate to have had Mark as the Sales Associate representing the sale of this vessel. He made an extremely positive impression the very first time I met him – before I even had interest in the boat – and he only improved upon that impression in the subsequent four months of challenging trials and negotiations leading up to my purchase. He is an outstanding person who quickly gained my trust with his high level of knowledge, integrity, patience, and approachable demeanor. Representing both the seller and myself, Mark remained totally ethical and transparent throughout the many steps that were required to bring the deal to a satisfactory conclusion for both sides. Mark is a true professional in every sense of the word, and all of my supporting afterguard of marine experts held him in the same regard. I’d sail with him anytime. It was a pleasure doing business with a firm that counts Melissa and Mark as representatives of its forthright corporate character. I look forward to thanking you in person at the next Chesapeake Bay Grand Banks Rendezvous, and inviting you aboard the new M/V NOR’EASTER. Mark H. Buzby 33 SUMMER 2015
