Jarrett Bay has built many custom sportfish convertibles in the sixty-foot range over its history, but a series of recent 64’ commissions have established this size as a signature length for their custom fleet. Similar to every hull built before her, Rebelette was designed and built to the owner’s exact specifications and requests. Although the Alexseal Cloud White hull and top sides, along with the centerline helm station built into a peninsula console on the flybridge, may resemble other recent Jarrett Bay builds, other likenesses are few in this latest launch. Hull 65 is the first new Jarrett Bay to be splashed with Caterpillar Marine’s newest power plant: the C32B. This latest propulsion technology has undergone hundreds of hours of strenuous testing in Jarrett Bay’s hull 48, Iron Leader, serving as the research and demo platform for Cat® power. With twin turbos on each V12 engine, hull 65’s C32Bs are rated at 2,025 hp and are complimented by the Cat® Three60 Precision Control joystick system. Rebelette’s sea trials did not disappoint with smooth rides found at both a cruise of 37kts, as well as wide open speeds pushing 44kts. Additionally, these Cat powerplants were extremely responsive in maneuvering her loaded weight of approximately 98,000 lbs as nimbly as vessels a fraction of her weight. Rebelette’s engine room is finished out with top-of-the-line systems including a Seakeeper 26 gyro stabilizer, Spot Zero watermaker system, ElectroSea descaling system, AXI fuel polishing and management, and a pair of Cat 2.2T generators rated at 27kW each. Hull 65’s systems are laid out for ease of maintenance for the captain and crew and the bright white finish and LED lighting ensures superior illumination. Entering the expansive salon, guests’ eyes will be drawn to the salient galley island forward to port, adjacent to a dinette teeming with concealed storage. Another unconventional touch in this newest Jarrett Bay is the addition of a settee opposite the traditional L-shaped settee to port. Seating is plentiful between these two plush spaces, especially when including the island barstools and dinette. A flatscreen TV rises out of concealed cabinetry from behind the additional settee and is complemented by a high-tech entertainment system. The beautiful walnut veneer and solid wood finishes throughout the salon continue down forward along with the quartzite countertops. While many 64foot convertibles aim to offer three or even four staterooms, hull 65 is equipped with two spacious and luxurious staterooms, one with a private head and NEW BOAT SPOTLIGHT JARRETT BAY 64 photos by Luke Pearson 50 BLUEWATER
