Our Story

Launched in 1968 in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, Bluewater Yacht Sales now spans 10 locations throughout four East Coast states.

Initially selling many popular brands of sailing vessels, the company evolved with the technology and demand that saw powerboating eventually dominate the marketplace. Bluewater has always been at the forefront of that wave, growing sales and service operations to offer the best brands, while working hard to satisfy each customer at all stages of their boating journey.

Our team of experienced salespeople have been deeply involved in the greatest tournaments, cruising destinations and boat shows for going on sixty years. Over that time, Bluewater was built on a backbone of service and a commitment to always put the customer first.

Bluewater team members are not just business people, we are boaters, cruisers and fishermen, just like you. Collectively, we are passionate about boats of all types – enjoying a lifestyle that involves salty air, wet lines and time spent with family and friends. We are a group of veteran yachtsmen who have weathered the test of time while nurturing the expertise and craftsmanship of our teams and partners.
