General Description
2002 Beneteau 42 Center Cockpit
Designed by world-renowned naval architects, Groupe Finot, the Beneteau 42 CC is a classy bluewater passagemaker that features numerous standard innovations at a value price that is rather remarkable. The 42 CC entices the eye of the traditional yachtsman with the beauty of her striking classic transom. Never seen before in the Beneteau Center Cockpit series, this brand new design's sleek deck line creates a lean fetching profile while maintaining utmost functionality. On deck, the stylish hard dodger with opening windows provides extraordinary protection to the spacious center cockpit. Standard bulkhead steering opens the cockpit making it extremely easy to entertain and maneuver about. The expansive aft deck is big enough to accommodate several lounge chairs and is perfect for relaxing while at anchor. One of the 42 CC's most interesting innovative features is found aft: a sliding section in the aft deck conceals a two-tread staircase leading to an exquisite boarding platform on the drop-down transom. While underway, the transom and boarding platform pulls up shut to form the classic transom. Like all Beneteau sailboats, the interior of the 42 CC incorporates beautifully crafted cherry stained cabinetry and joinery. Large overhead panoramic deck lights flood the main salon with light and ventilation. The gourmet galley features plenty of storage for all cooking paraphernalia and has loads of counter space. The luxurious master suite is equipped with a comfy centerline berth, flanking settees for lounging, and a built-in dressing table. But perhaps one of the best features of the 42 CC is the incredible amount of storage throughout.

Vessel Walkthrough and Details
ACCOMMODATIONS:
The nice center cockpit layout allows for two private cabins with private heads. Forward has a full starboard side pullman berth, ample storage with several storage drawers under the bunk and private head with shower, and a small settee. The aft master cabin has a large Island queen berth, hanging lockers, storage, a vanity/desk with mirror, shelves as well as seats with cushions on each side of the bed sitting area. The master head has a separate stall shower, marine toilet, vanity, and medicine cabinet. The main salon is next, with a U-Shaped settee to starboard, it includes a slide out table to allow easy access to the seating as well as the engine. This settee converts to a double berth. Across is the nav desk with chart table, as well as additional lockers and drawers. Amidships, along the port side is the light, roomy and airy galley. It provides an abundant amount of space and storage in a secure and safe working area for the cook. The interior is cherry stained mahogany with plastic laminate on the cabin sole. The upholstery is in great shape. Air circulation is excellent in the main salon, galley, forward stateroom, aft cabin, and, aft head. Multiple overhead hatches and the salon “sky lights” add extra natural light and ventilation.
