General Description
Catamaran Racer-Cruiser
Well-known for its prestigious high performance monohulls, Black Pepper is now entering the luxury multihull market with its new Code C.69, a carbon catamaran designed by François Pérus & Romain Scolari.
The story
The Code C.69 is the first multihull built by Black Pepper Yachts. Her conception is the result of many years of reflection at Black Pepper; she is also the direct consequence of a human encounter, which is something we particularly like at Black Pepper. She had to be beautiful, fast, safe and high-tech.
True to the shipyard’s reputation, Design & Performance are the key words characterising this new boat, which as usual is in keeping with the highly exclusive spirit of Black Pepper’s Codes.
Inspired by the hulls of the latest generation of ocean-going multihulls, the Code C.69 is designed for offshore cruising and racing. Her silhouette and charm are the result of a combination of historic and modern lines and materials.

At sea: Comfort at high speed
On board, nothing is left to chance: sea keeping height ergonomics, ease of maneuvering, living spaces, luxurious equipment and materials, cabins, bathrooms, cockpit saloon… everything is designed to ensure owners and their guests are comfortable, safe and self-sufficient. The Code C.69 is also designed to be sailed with a reduced crew.
Below deck, and in her original form, Code C.69 has been designed with 2 double suites, 1 triple cabin, and 1 crew quarter with 3 berths. All cabins have private bathrooms. The owner’s cabin has its own walkway.
Inside, the saloon is organised around a galley, a lounge/dining room and the navigation station. It is a comfortable and intimate central living space, shared by all the cabins on board.
Outside, the cockpit takes on the appearance of a huge veranda, with a large dining area, a chaise longue and a summer kitchen equipped with a plancha, sink, fridge and ice maker.
Code C.69 has been designed to offer its passengers all the comfort and top-of-the-range services of a luxury cruise ship.
What they say
The Code C.69, designed by YDC, ticks all the boxes in this specification, including the highly successful design, in line with the Black Pepper Yachts Codes. She is the first model in the future series of Black Pepper Yachts multihulls, the Code C. - Michel Douville de Franssu - Black Pepper Yachts
The philosophy behind the design of this ocean-going sailing catamaran was to create a living space on the water of the highest quality and comfort, while ensuring maximum performance and safety when travelling at high speed. The use of high-tech composite materials identical to those used in the construction of racing prototypes (Sandwich Carbon Epoxy) has made it possible to considerably reduce the weight of the boat, which combined with wide, very taut hulls, allows for impressive speeds and acceleration. -F. Ship building
Our catamarans are made from dry carbon fibre and epoxy resin. This process involves placing parts draped in dry carbon fabric under vacuum in a mould closed by a tarpaulin, which are then impregnated under vacuum by injection of the required quantity of resin, which is sucked in by the vacuum created in the mould.
The hull and deck are built in separate moulds and then assembled manually by gluing and laminating.
The entire boat structure is first assembled by gluing and laminating in the hull.
The whole structure is then coated and painted before the integration of electronic and electrical components, systems (rudders, power, engine, etc.), fittings, teak, fittings, preparation of the mast and boom.
