Burger’s experienced engineers and craftsmen built NORTHLAND at the company’s modern shipyard in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Her interior is styled by American designer design house Luiz de Basto Designs and she was delivered to her owner in November 2017. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Luiz de Basto Designs.


NORTHLAND was designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

A true classic, NORTHLAND features a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, esthec decks, a modern interior, expansive open areas and a dedicated fishing cockpit. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18 ACERT) 475hp engines. She has a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles from her 37,065 liter fuel tanks at 9.5 knots cruise. Her water tanks store around 9,100 liters of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) classification society rules. Vessel Description

Performance - Designed with the following approximate target speeds and range based on powering from two (2) Caterpillar C18 ACERT "A-Rating" engines rated for 475 bhp (350 bkW) at 1800 rpm.

 Tank Arrangements and Capacity Plan - The vessel's approximate tank capacities are as indicated below:

  • Freshwater Capacity - 2,404 gallons (approximate)
  • Black Water capacity - 710 gallons (approximate)


Anchoring System - The anchoring system includes two (2) CQR Ultra Anchors, model 250-SS0, (1) S/8" 3S0' length galvanized stud link chain, (1) SS0' length galvanized stud link chain.

The vessel is outfitted with two (2) Maxwell 6000 hydraulic windlasses with capstan drums. Each windlass has horizontal gear boxes and band breaks. Each has local control via hand wheel of the wildcat {gypsy) band brake, chain stopper with tensioner, square rollers with chain groove for stud link anchor chain, electric foot switch assembly, and chain counters . The windlasses are complete with a 19.7 foot (6 meter) cable wired remote control.


Mooring System - The mooring system includes two (2) chrome plated bronze high pressure Maxwell 4000 hydraulically driven vertical capstans.


Esthec® Decking - Esthec decking is found in the cockpit, aft main deck, port and starboard main deck side decks, aft bridge deck, forward bridge deck, boat deck, Flybridge, and all exterior stairs.  The Esthec decking features a biscuit-colored batten pattern that is approximately 1-7/8" wide with 4mm wide black seams between. The material is ¼" thick.


Ladders and Boarding Ladder Systems

  • Sea Stair - One (1) manual operating UMT carbon fiber side-boarding sea stair. Stowage of the sea stair is in a recess in the main deck bulwarks or the superstructure side.
  • Swim Ladder - One (1) angled anodized aluminum swim ladder with take-apart section that allows it to be stored in two pieces.
  • Hard Top Access Ladder - A portable, telescoping ladder provides service access to the hardtop from the Flybridge.


Exterior Signaling and Searchlights

  • Navigational Lighting - LOPO navigational lights.
  • Searchlights - One (1) Jabsco JA 62042-4006 searchlight.
  • Ship's Bell - One (1) chrome plated ship's bell engraved with the vessel's name, year launched and the BURGER logo.

Tender and Tender Launching

  • Launching System - A 5,000 pound, fixed boom, Airtex brand, hydraulic deck crane for launching the tenders is installed on the foredeck, on center line, between the tenders.
  • Tenders - Two (2) Custom built Chapman Transition tenders, one with a forward ramp feature.


Hot Tub and Sun Pad - One (1) in-ground type spa; Baja Spas Redondo model installed in a painted aluminum surround with access steps. A sun pad with storage and technical space below is located on the port side of the flybridge.


Exterior Covers - Custom covers shall be made with Sunbrella Exterior Canvas for the following Sundeck items:  Sundeck Helm Station, Helm Chair, Bar, Bar Stools,  Built in Settees, Settee Tabletop, Hot Tub, Sun Pad, Grill. Covers are also provided for: Tenders, Search light, Air Horn, Ship Bell, Anchor Windlasses, Bridge Deck Tabletop, Bridge Deck Chairs, Bridge Deck Settee, Bridge Deck Settee Tabletop, Bridge Deck Lounge Chairs, Fighting Chair and Capstans.  Removable, snap-on mesh shades cover one window on each side of the pilothouse.
