    Manufacturer Comments

The Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender provides basic and functional accommodations for short stays, allowing sailors to experience the joys of overnighting on a classic and stable vessel. It's a great option for those who prioritize the sailing experience and appreciate the simplicity and charm of a smaller sailboat.

    Layout and General Information

This 1980 Cape Dory Typhoon has a clean and solid hull and fiberglass deck

assembly along with just enough exterior woodwork toe rail and coaming to

highlight her sheer and low cabin profile. She is one of about 2,000 built between

1967 - 1986, Cape Dory’s most popular design. She sleeps 2 below on port and

starboard berths with cushions with nice wood trim below. Two fixed port lights

and a sliding companionway hatch for good natural light and ventilation. She

hasn’t been in the water for several years but has been under cover. Friday’s Child

comes with aluminum spars, stainless steel rigging, and a mainsail and jib, plus ample gear, and dock lines & fenders. She is a Carl

Alberg-designed sloop that sails very well at a very reasonable price!
