Regulator 31

The Regulator 31 is popular for a reason. It features a proven high-performance hull that delivers a soft, dry ride, generous deck space, and serious speed and agility. Long known as the fastest boat in the fleet, topping out at nearly 65 mph, the 31 is also one of the most versatile models, with multiple tackle center and seating configurations. For 2027, Regulator is doubling down on the 31 with more customization, advanced technology, and a completely refreshed appearance. The one thing that doesn’t change is the hull, meaning owners will enjoy all the latest features while keeping the ride quality that made the model a favorite.

Although the hull remains the same, the new 31 will look dramatically different. Updates include a redesigned deck cap, a bullnose toe rail that creates a wider gunwale and larger anchor locker, and a completely reimagined console, windshield, helm, and dash. The T-top now incorporates additional pipework and rocket launchers that extend to the mezzanine, while a lowered mezzanine seating area gives the boat a more modern, comfortable profile. Combined, these changes make the 31 nearly unrecognizable and bring its styling more in line with Regulator’s larger offshore models.

One of the biggest improvements is found in the aft seating and tackle center. Buyers can still choose between a tackle center, mezzanine seating, or a modified mezzanine that accommodates an optional Seakeeper SK2 gyrostabilizer. The redesigned mezzanine is more ergonomic, allowing guests’ feet to rest comfortably on the deck while relocating tackle storage to either side of the seating area. The lowered design also makes room for upgrades such as teak ladderback helm chairs. Fishability is enhanced with new pipework connecting the mezzanine to the T-top, providing space for up to eleven rocket launchers. Additional helm improvements include touchscreen switching, optional heated seating, a teak helm pod, upgraded Garmin electronics, and Regulator’s ventilated windshield system borrowed from the 35.

Beneath the surface, the 31 receives some of its most significant upgrades. It now features the E-Hub Lithium Battery System first introduced on the Regulator 35, providing a 400-amp house system capable of powering onboard systems, including the optional Seakeeper, for extended periods without running the engines. The boat also gains Garmin 9000-series displays, Regulator’s MyHelm vessel management system, touchscreen switching, and key-fob battery control. The first next-generation Regulator 31s are already in production and will be available for the 2027 model year, beginning in the summer of 2026.
