Overview

The Sabre 51 Salon Express is the latest model from Sabre Yachts, and meets demand for a vessel to bridge the gap between the 48 and 58 Salon Express models. The details about this model are still being finalized and the specifics of the 51SE are still subject to change, but the initial renderings and information suggests that this model will be a revolutionary design with a functional layout and cutting edge technology, but will also stay true to the timeless downeast designs that carry through the Sabre line.

Some of the most notable features of the Sabre 51 will be on the exterior, with fresh concepts incorporated into the aft deck and the foredeck. The cockpit area will be more social than any of the other models in the fleet, with three separate seating areas. Boarding will be through a starboard side gate which provides space for a tremendous L-shaped lounge and table spanning along the transom and up the port side of the boat. There will be an aft-facing seat to port of the salon door, along with another L-shaped lounge that will run along the starboard side of the cockpit. This seating area will be offset from the starboard walkway so there will be wide side decks and easy passage to the bow from either side.

Another new concept will be located on the foredeck, where Sabre has designed a forward bench as well as an adjustable sunpad for expanded seating on the bow. These seats are designed to fold flush and tuck away into the deck to preserve the classic downeast look while still incorporating more modern accommodations.

More details are still expected on the interior of the Sabre 51, but initial information shows that there will be a large salon with a U-shaped settee, a table, and a wet bar. The helm will be situated forward and to starboard, and a mate’s settee will be to port. The 51 will have a fully equipped galley, a master stateroom and head amidships, and a guest stateroom and head forward.

The standard propulsion of the Sabre 51 will be the Volvo-Penta IPS 800 package, which will provide a combined 1,200mhp. This system also includes the Volvo joystick docking system as well as autopilot. Other mechanical features include the Volvo interceptor trim tabs, a 13.5kW generator, and the new Sabre Connect networked digital switching system.

The Sabre 51 is set to debut in the Fall of 2025, and more detail specifications, options, and standard features will be announced soon. Please contact a Bluewater Yacht Sales Sabre specialist today for more information.
