Grady Byus

Grady Byus brings more than 20 years of marine industry experience and a lifetime on the water to Bluewater Yacht Sales. From fishing the flats of the Texas coast to championship sailboat racing and tournament fishing, boating has always been central to his life.

Grady began his career commissioning new boats, including MJM Yachts, before managing a service team for a large Chesapeake Bay dealership. His attention to detail and commitment to his clients carried naturally into yacht sales, where he became one of the top-performing salespeople in the MJM dealer network. His experience across commissioning, service, and sales gives clients a knowledgeable partner throughout the ownership process.

Having guided custom boat builds with multiyear lead times in the United States and Europe, Grady understands the planning, communication, and follow-through these projects demand. He has also logged extensive offshore miles along the East Coast and throughout the Florida Keys, Caribbean, and Europe, building a broad network of trusted industry relationships along the way.

Grady brings that same depth of knowledge to brokerage, helping buyers evaluate opportunities and sellers position their boats competitively. His technical background and understanding of the market help clients navigate pricing, surveys, negotiations, and the details that keep a transaction moving smoothly. Grady’s experience and understanding of web marketing and photography lend especially well to creating successful marketing plans for your boat.

Grady believes the value of a boat lies in the experiences it makes possible. He takes time to understand each client’s priorities, helping them find the right boat, navigate a sale, and make the most of their time on the water.



Having moved to the Bethany Beach area, Grady is excited to focus on the Ocean City and Delaware markets but plans to work with clients from the Chesapeake and beyond as he always has. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter on their small horse farm, fishing aboard their Judge 22, and photographing life on the water.
