Beneteau Oceanis Yacht 54 Heartbeat 3+1 Cabin / 3 Head Layout

Overview

Designed by Roberto Biscontini and Lorenzo Argento, the Oceanis Yacht 54 represents the current pinnacle of Beneteau’s monohull cruising lineup. The design brief was straightforward: optimize cockpit and interior layouts without compromising performance, practicality, or comfort. The result carries the familiar DNA of the Oceanis range — a well-judged balance of form and function that makes her equally capable on a fast ocean passage or a relaxed double-handed coastal cruise. Build quality, high-end materials, and thoughtful engineering are evident throughout, and this particular example is specified to a high level with a comprehensive options list.

Rig & Sail Handling

  • Furling mast including Code 0/asymmetric spinnaker rigging
  • Electric Winches – 2 Harken H60.2 electric genoa winches, electric halyard winch, and electric rigging winch
  • Tunnel bow thruster for easy maneuvering
  • Electric tilting transom, accommodation ladder, and tender loading system
  • B&G Offshore Pack with AIS 500
  • 44,000 BTU air conditioning
  • 60L/hour watermaker (450 hours)
  • Yanmar 4JH110 CR 110hp diesel (1480 hours)
  • 7.5 kVA generator with cocoon enclosure
  • 2000VA inverter
  • 2x additional 140Ah service batteries plus dedicated bow thruster battery bank

Rig & Sails

This Oceanis Yacht 54 is fitted with a furling mast with LED spreader lighting and a full upwind and downwind sail package. Headsail options include a Dacron genoa on furler with sheet track on the coachroof, and asymmetrical spinnaker/Code 0 rigging for downwind performance. The German two-way mainsheet system runs to the helm station, supported by two additional clutches to starboard and two to port, keeping sail handling manageable from the cockpit. Winch power is substantial, with two Harken H60.2 rewind electric genoa winches, a port electric Harken H50.2 STAEH rigging winch, and an electric starboard halyard winch, all 12V.

Deck & Helm

Heartbeat is piloted at twin black composite steering wheels. Engine control is handled electrically from the starboard console, and windlass operation is managed from the cockpit with a chain counter. A tunnel bow thruster is installed, supported by four dedicated 50Ah 12V batteries and a 30A 24V battery charger. The tilting transom is remote controlled and is complemented by an accommodation ladder, tender loading system, and outboard engine bracket. A dock water inlet is fitted, along with an additional hot and cold water cockpit shower and three underwater light projectors.

Cockpit

The cockpit is finished to Luxe trim level with Charcoal Grey Diamante Snow exterior upholstery. The bench seats and backs feature 80mm filter foam, and the helmsman’s seat has a stainless steel back with an upholstered backrest. Two electrical bases allow the cockpit tables to double as sundecks, and two companionway sundecks with reclining backs on a ratchet system add further lounging space. Cockpit table covers in Charcoal Grey are included along with cushions for the sundeck configuration.

Navigation & Electronics

Navigation is handled through the B&G Offshore Pack, supported by a B&G AIS 500 and IBS sensor.

Salon

The salon is finished in Walnut Alpi with Lounge Greige upholstery. Entertainment is provided by an Apollo amplifier with Bose 2.1 speakers.

Galley

The galley is equipped with a refrigerator and deep freezer. A 12V/230V watermaker producing 60 liters per hour rounds out the provisions setup.

Cabins & Heads

The boat is configured in a three-cabin, three-head layout, all finished in Walnut Alpi. The bow cabin is included as part of the arrangement. The owner’s cabin is fitted with a spring mattress at 180mm (7″) thickness and its own Tecma electric fresh water/sea water WC. The port aft and starboard aft heads are each fitted with Quiet Flush electric fresh water/sea water WCs. Mosquito nets are fitted to all opening portholes throughout.

Mechanical & Electrical

Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH110 CR diesel engine producing 81kW (110hp), paired with a shallow cast iron keel. A 7.5 kVA/110V/60Hz generator with cocoon enclosure provides onboard power generation, supported by two additional 140Ah service batteries and an additional 40A battery charger. A 2000VA 12/230V inverter is also installed. The 44,000 BTU air conditioning system ensures comfort in warm climates. The vessel is built to North American specification throughout.
