2018 Paritetboat 37 Looker

Forget the usual glass-bottom tour boat. This is a 37-foot Paritetboat Looker 370 built so you sit over the reef instead of talking about it.

The heart of the boat is a 2-by-3-meter optically shaped acrylic viewing port — among the largest glass-bottom windows in production. It is 15mm modified acrylic, formed as a spheroid, and stronger than a typical fiberglass hull. Guests gather around it on wraparound bow seating and watch coral, rays, turtles, and bait schools move under their feet. At about 30 feet of depth the field of view is roughly half a basketball court. No fins. No mask. No waiting on a snorkel briefing.

Paritetboat has been building high-speed glass-bottom passenger boats since 1998 for operators in the Maldives, Seychelles, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and the Gulf. The Looker 370 was designed as the practical sweet spot in that lineup: the presence and guest capacity of the larger Looker 440, on a leaner aluminum platform that can actually get a full load of people to the good water and home again in the same day. Traditional glass-bottom boats crawl. This one does not.

You can run it as a private family boat that nobody else on the dock has, or as a charter and eco-tourism asset that sells two products at once — the ride and the underwater show. Certified for 12 to 30 passengers (CE Class C), it is equally at home with a small private group or a paying tour load. Resorts, reef operators, and private owners buy this hull for the same reason: guests remember what they saw through the floor.

Construction is marine-grade aluminum with a corrosion-resistant finish, about 37 feet LOA and 13.5 feet of beam, with a hydrodynamic hull, hydraulic / steer-by-wire helm, ventilated observation cabin, and weather protection so the day stays comfortable when the cut gets a little sporty. Fuel capacity is approximately 132 gallons — enough for a real charter day, not a short hop and a fuel dock.

WHO SHOULD BUY IT

If you run trips in clear, shallow, high-demand water — the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, reef lagoons, marine parks — this is a rare piece of equipment. There are not many true high-speed glass-bottom boats of this size on the U.S. market, and fewer still with a fresh bottom, a serviced viewing dome, a late-model 425 XTO, and lithium power already on board.

If you want it privately, it is the boat that turns a Saturday into a story. Kids stay at the window. Guests who would never snorkel still see the reef. You look different leaving the inlet.

Come stand over the glass. Photos do not give you the scale. Once you have seen the window in person, ordinary glass-bottom boats look unfinished.
