Details

A classic Gemini with the space to cruise and the draft to explore — an excellent choice for sailors looking to go farther while keeping things simple.

Step aboard the Gemini 3400, a well-designed cruising catamaran that combines the comfort and stability of a multihull with the practical dimensions and sailing characteristics that make her an excellent coastal cruiser.

At just over 33 feet LOA with a 14-foot beam, the Gemini 3400 offers an impressive amount of living space for her size. Her wide, stable platform provides a comfortable ride underway and a spacious environment for relaxing, entertaining, and extended cruising. The thoughtful interior layout includes three staterooms, three double berths, and a head, making this a remarkably accommodating boat for couples, families, or cruising friends. Whether you’re looking for a comfortable weekend getaway, a capable coastal cruiser, or an affordable platform for extended cruising, the Gemini 3400 offers an appealing combination of space, stability, shallow-water capability, and sailing performance in a manageable 33-foot package.

Built by Performance Cruising, the Gemini 3400 was produced from 1993–1996, with approximately 44 boats built. She was the predecessor to the highly regarded Gemini 105 and incorporates many of the practical design features that helped establish the Gemini name in cruising catamarans.

One of her standout features is her shallow-draft centerboard design. With the boards up, draft is approximately 1’6″, opening up access to shallow anchorages and cruising grounds that are unavailable to many larger cruising yachts. With the centerboards deployed, maximum draft is approximately 5 feet, providing improved sailing performance and lateral resistance.

The Gemini 3400 carries approximately 490 square feet of sail area and has a reported displacement of under 9,000 pounds, giving her a lively and efficient sailing performance for a cruising catamaran.
