32 Sport Fisherman

A popular model for Stamas, the 32 Sport Fisherman is a sturdy flybridge fishing boat with a roomy cockpit and practical cabin accommodations. She’s built on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with moderate beam, and a well-flared bow makes for a dry ride in a chop. With the lower helm open to the cockpit, the layout of this boat is ideal for anglers (although a sliding glass bulkhead enclosure was optional). A dinette opposite the helm is a convenient place to get out of the sun, and down below there’s a small galley to port and a head with a sink and shower opposite. Lockers separate this space from the forward stateroom with its long V-berth. The cockpit is large enough to accommodate a full-size fighting chair, and the side decks are about as wide as you’ll ever see on a boat this size. Topside, the bridge controls are well aft affording a clear view of the cockpit. Additional features include a vented windshield, bridge seating for three, and good engine access. Several engine options were offered over the years. Among the most popular, a pair of 260hp gas inboards cruise the Stamas 32 at 18 knots (about 27 knots top), and larger 330hp gas engines cruise in the low 20s and top out at 30+ knots.
