Jarrett Bay Boatworks recently delivered a second custom sportfish vessel to a repeat owner who values both comfort and high performance. Headed south to fish Central America, this 68-foot masterpiece will exemplify the fusion of innovation, craftsmanship, and unwavering dedication to functionality.

This latest iteration of the Jarrett Bay 68 seamlessly blends traditional Carolina style with cutting-edge advancements. Drawing inspiration from their revolutionary 90’ Jaruco, Jarrett Bay employed proprietary matrices, advanced lamination and infusion processes to ensure next-level efficiency and longevity.

Designed to house twin C32B engines producing 2,400 hp each, Renegade boasts an engine and pump room equipped with tournament-caliber amenities typically found in larger vessels. Among the highlights are three Seakeeper 9 gyro stabilizers, two Caterpillar C2.2T generators delivering continuous 25kW power, and integrated tool storage. Other notable features include a Furuno OmniSonar system, a 3,000 gallon-per-day watermaker, descaling system, a watertight cockpit door, and full air conditioning. The maintenance-friendly layout, bright white finish, and LED lighting ensure optimal visibility and ease of operation.

The cockpit is designed for both serious angling and guest comfort. A stylishly curved mezzanine, cooled by air conditioning, offers a prime vantage point to oversee the action. The mezzanine also incorporates a refrigerated drink box, bait tray storage, an insulated ice dump, and gaff/cleaning supply compartments. For versatility in fishing styles, a Release Marine Trillion Series fighting chair is installed for blue marlin encounters, while an interchangeable 11-hole rocket launcher accommodates stand-up fishing. A transom tuna door with hidden swim ladder brackets, a 160-gallon transom baitwell with window, and a 150-gallon in-deck fish box with a dedicated ice machine complete the extensive arsenal.

The sleek exterior is accentuated by a custom 8-foot gap Palm Beach Tower and 46-foot outriggers. A flush-mounted egress hatch on the bow and a concealed foredeck storage compartment enhance accessibility and crew efficiency.

Inside, the satin-finished teak salon provides a luxurious retreat after a day offshore. Bookmatched veneers and maple-inlay teak floors reflect Jarrett Bay’s dedication to master craftsmanship. A large L-shaped sofa with ample storage offers a comfortable space to enjoy the view through double-tinted windows, ensuring both privacy and heat deflection. A 55” television is elegantly housed in an electrically actuated cabinet. Overhead illuminated air conditioning valences add to the ambiance, while custom cabinetry conceals dedicated spirits, wine, and glass storage for entertaining.

The lower-level layout features four staterooms and three heads, accommodating guests and crew in ultimate comfort. A spacious tackle closet with a custom-etched glass door provides ample storage for rods and reels. Additional storage is found under over-sized beds, with electric bunk lifts facilitating access.

The galley is fully equipped for long stays, featuring an electric cooktop, under-counter refrigerators, a freezer, ice machine, and built-in wine cooler. Additional conveniences include a built-in microwave concealed within custom cabinetry and a spacious forward pantry for dry goods and extra supplies.
