Princess Y72

Princess Yachts recently announced the newest addition to their Y-Class Motoryacht lineup, the Princess Y72. Although this is the smallest member of the range, she is still an impressive 71.5 feet overall and boasts a beam of over 18 feet. The Y72 is built for cruising in comfort with several spaces for entertaining and relaxing, accommodations for several guests, and stunning views from the open flybridge much like the larger Y78.

When boarding the Princess Y72, you will first see the hydraulic swim platform, transom seat, cockpit shower, and access to the lazarette and aft storage areas. Steps on either side of the vessel will lead you to the cockpit entertaining space, which has a u-shaped seating area with access to the open galley and a wet bar.

Moving forward you will see the galley to port with a peninsula countertop and a raised bar, in addition to a dinette to starboard. Large windows in the galley and salon provide natural light throughout, along with 360-degree views of the outdoors. The salon area provides a great space for entertaining, with a u-shaped seating area to starboard and a two-seat sofa to port. The lower helm is located forward, which gives the captain a sheltered space to operate the vessel while still remaining close to guests.

Heading belowdecks, you will find access to four staterooms and three heads, with accommodations for up to eight guests. The truly impressive full-beam master stateroom is situated aft and is entered through a private stairway in the salon. This expansive cabin offers a double bed, sofa, dressing table and a dedicated entertainment system. The en-suite head and dressing area also span the full beam of the vessel, and gives the owners a wardrobe, twin vanities, and a spacious shower.

The two guest cabins are located forward of the master on either side of the passageway, and are accessed through a separate stairway in the salon. Both berths contain two single beds, closets, storage lockers, and additional drawers for longer stays. These cabins also have access to a day head on the portside. The private VIP stateroom is found forward of the two cabins, and provides guests with a vanity, en-suite head, and plenty of storage throughout. The generous accommodations and living arrangements make this boat perfect for extended cruising with large families and friends.

Some of the Y72’s most stunning views can be seen from the flybridge, which is entered by a stairwell in the cockpit. This open area contains an aft sunpad, a u-shaped dinette, wet bar, grill, and another lounge forward. The flybridge helm has seating for two, and gives the operators superior visibility for running the vessel. If this space were not enough, there is also a seating area and sunpad forward of the flybridge on the foredeck.

The Princess Y72 will be powered by twin MAN V12-1650 engines, which will give her a speed range between 32 and 35 knots. The engines, lazarette, and crew cabin can be accessed through a gas-assisted hatch in the stern, along with all of the electrical and mechanical components.

The Bluewater Yacht Sales team is greatly anticipating the arrival of the Y72 and the debut of this vessel in the coming months. Our sales professionals can arrange showings of available Princess models either virtually or physically, so please contact our team with any questions.
