At the 2021 Viking and Valhalla VIP Boat Show, Valhalla Boatworks debuted the groundbreaking V-46 performance center console. Now, only a year later, Valhalla has promised to deliver something even bigger and better – the Valhalla V-55. Valhalla’s parent company, Viking Yachts, dominates the mid-range sportfish market with models like the 54, 58, and 64 convertibles. However, this is the first time they have brought that expertise to a center console model. If anything can be inferred from Viking’s pedigree in this size range, the V-55 is getting ready to take the market by storm.
Industry-leading Power
The first thing that everyone wants to know about the Valhalla V-55 is the power. At 59’6 long, 15’6 across, and 39,000 pounds dry, this boat is larger than anything else that Valhalla has built. As a result, this model will be designed to accommodate more power than ever before. The V-55 will come standard with 2,400hp from the industry-leading Mercury 600hp outboards. For those looking for more power, there is an option to add a fifth engine for an unbelievable 3,000hp.
The cockpit of the V-55 will be an angler’s dream. It boats two 65 gallon transom livewells, a pair of in-deck fishboxes, and another in-deck fishbox in the bow. A compartment in the deck accommodates another livewell, or it can be used to house an optional Seakeeper 9 gyrostabilizer. For comfort, there will be an aft-facing mezzanine seat with molded-in armrests, cushions, and refrigerated seat boxes below. The bow of the boat will be built for comfort, offering an expansive forward lounge and a pair of forward-facing seats, along with plenty of storage.
The V-55 offers two rows of seating, and four Release Marine teak helm chairs with flip-up bolsters and electric slides. The second row can be built as a bench, or with up to five additional Release Marine chairs. The helm will have a sleek black acrylic panel with recessed electronics and Bocatech switches. Atlantic Marine Electronics can install either a Garmin or Simrad electronics package at the factory. The boat can also be outfitted with a fiberglass hardtop, a custom Palm Beach gap tower, Gemlux outriggers, and Miya Epoch 12v teaser reels.
Unsurpassed Interior
The interior of the Valhalla V-55 will be unlike any other center console on the market. It will be appointed with a full galley, including a two-burner cooktop, a Corian countertop, a stainless steel sink, a microwave, refrigerator, and freezer. Opposite the galley, there will be an L-shaped sofa and dinette that can be converted into a bunk. The private master stateroom will be situated forward, and will include a queen sized bed with storage below, and access to the head and shower. A guest stateroom will be located aft, and will offer two large berths for additional guests.
The Valhalla V-55 comes standard with almost everything needed to head offshore, while offering several notable options available for order. In addition to the previously mentioned power options, electronics packages, and tower upgrades, this boat can also be built with upgraded upholstery, a bow thruster, an ice machine, teak trim, and many other custom extras.
