Sabre Yachts Integrates Their Command System Into the New 43 Salon Express

Jul 13, 2023 | Magazine, News, Sabre Yachts | 0 comments

There is no denying the beauty and charm infused into each model offered by Sabre Yachts. The iconic lines and styling that pay homage to the Maine lobster boats of decades past have been refined and modernized, while the high-tech innovations never cease.

The Downeast style, proud bows and breathtaking woodwork and joinery help to hide innovative systems that add ingenuity, safety and convenience for the yachtsman and owner. The latest innovation to launch from the famed Maine-based yacht builder is their Networked Command and Control System currently offered on their flagship 58 SE, and the new 43 SE.

This new system allows owners the ability to check critical functions and control any circuit on the boat from either the Garmin displays or an iPad mini. Controls include “mode of operation” or “scene” settings—allowing the operator to designate lighting and circuit configurations of the boat with the touch of a button.

This system goes a step further by offering remote access as well as GPS monitoring, geofencing, trip logging, and NMEA 2000-based alarms delivered directly to a mobile phone through the Sabre Connect app.

Glenn Campbell, Engineering Manager at Sabre Yachts further explains the new technology: “Our Networked Command and Control System not only provides an attractive user interface, and the ability for our customers to turn ‘on’ and ‘off’ their boat using a single switched ‘mode of operation’, but also, and most importantly, it provides them the comfort of knowing their boat’s exact location and systems status from the convenience of their mobile phone even while thousands of miles away. This remote visibility is achieved via our new Sabre Connect App.”

Highlights of the 43 include a spacious salon with two banks of seating over six feet in length and a half-up galley that incorporates all the amenities of a modern kitchen without wasting an inch of precious storage volume.

Below deck, a versatile hybrid lounge functions as guest berth, private retreat, or home office, depending on her owners’ needs. Her master stateroom is iconic Sabre, featuring an island berth and numerous storage compartments, all in warm American cherry. Finally, an adaptable utility room beneath the salon sole provides space for various supplemental storage and appliance solutions, including a side-by-side washer and dryer, wine cooler, or storage lockers.
